Natrona County Commission agrees to offer input on Moneta Divide development

The Natrona County Commission agreed at its work session Tuesday to sign on as a cooperating agency to an environmental analysis of a recently proposed oil and gas project in Natrona and Fremont counties.

The Moneta Divide project — proposed in 2011 by Encana, Noble Energy and ConocoPhilips — would generate up to 4,250 oil and gas wells within a roughly 400-square-mile project area on mostly Bureau of Land Management land, according to a BLM summary. The BLM is conducting the analysis, and in early December invited the commission to offer input regarding the project.  Read the entire article HERE
