Natural gas vehicle bills pass Wyoming legislature, but industry sees progress still to be made

Two industry-backed bills aimed at boosting the use of compressed natural gas to fuel Wyoming vehicles cleared the state Legislature this week, but neither will do as much as they would have as first written.

The original bills — one to provide loans for construction of compressed natural gas pump stations, the other creating a plan to slowly replace state vehicles with natural gas-burning units — could have kickstarted a growing Wyoming fuel industry, according to compressed natural gas promoters.  Read the entire article HERE

Wyoming gauges natural gas vehicle market

Wyoming officials now know how much it will cost to buy compressed natural gas-powered vehicles off the line.

The state selected winning bids from a July request for proposal, Gov. Matt Mead announced Monday. Most CNG-powered vehicle models requested by the state are priced at around $33,000.  Read the entire article HERE

Laramie County making the move to natural gas vehicles

CHEYENNE — Laramie County is joining the movement of governments across the nation to buy compressed natural gas-powered vehicles.
