PIPELINES > MAPS ¬
The Wyoming Pipeline Authority (WPA) has created a comprehensive and detailed pipeline database and shape file for the State of Wyoming for geographic information systems (GIS). Since September 2006, the WPA has meticulously validated pipeline infrastructure within Wyoming using public domain material. The ESRI ArcMapã database is not ‘centerline accurate’ but will assist in identifying pipeline infrastructure if trying to identify relative locations to the nearest section (General Land Office Survey system). We do not share proprietary data. For example, if drilling a new well but pipeline carriers for the commodity have not been identified, our database can provide information about the nearest pipeline such as owner, operator, name of pipeline, and in some cases capacity and contact information. As part of the WPA’s maintenance efforts to this database, we provide quarterly updates to our subscribers. We are constantly maintaining and improving the accuracy of the database daily.
A one year annual subscription that includes a shape file and quarterly updated shape files can be obtained. Subscribers will receive up to 2 hours of technical support per month. Additionally, the WPA provides a separate shape file of all proposed pipeline projects that will influence commodity export/import for Wyoming.
The WPA can also assist you on a case-by-case basis via contractual arrangement at a rate of $100 per hour. The minimum charge is $50. |
